A General Introduction of Nanjing 21st Century Bilingual School
Nanjing 21st Century Bilingual School, a full-time, private 
boarding school which was officially approved by Nanjing City Educational Bureau was founded by the joint efforts from Southeast University, Nanjing Foreign Language School and Nanjing Langya Road Primary School, with its features of bilingual education. It consists of a primary school sector, a middle school sector and a high school sector. In 9 years, the school has turned out 6 years’ graduates to institutions of higher learning. More than 300 of them have entered colleges or universities for further study in Canada, USA, U.K., Australia, etc.
Nanjing 21st Bilingual School is located in the east suburban of Nanjing-Tang Shan scenic resort. The present campus covers 340 mu, with a building area of 130,000 m2, including the international standard lecture buildings, a laboratory building, libraries, a computing center, an arts center, a gymnasium, and accommodation areas. A whole set of equipments and facilities include the closed circuit TV system, computerized teaching system, multi-media audio-lingual labs, program-controlled telephone system, multi-functional broadcasting system, and a large-scale comprehensive sports ground with 400-metre-long plastic cement track. The faculty is composed of 400 staff members; the number of students enrolled is nearly 1500. With 9 years’ hard work, the school has stridden a large step on its way to a highly qualified modern internationalized bilingual school 
with its features, thus it has been awarded as one of the top excellent private schools not only in Jiangsu province, but also throughout the country.
In 2000, in cooperating with Nanjing normal University, the school was appointed by the State Bureau of Education as one of the experimental bases of the fundamental course reform project. In the same year, National Commission of Adolescent Affairs named the school as a Model School of National Adolescent Innovation of Science.
In 2002, the Nanjing 21st Century Bilingual School was authorized to receive foreign students, and International Department was instituted to minister to the foreign students’ life and study. In cooperating with the Sino-Korean Bureau of Culture, the school mainly received Korean primary and middle school students. Later, more students come from USA, Spain, Japan, Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and other countries and areas. This marks our school’s entry into the international market. The foreign students are offered special boarding, lodging, and courses. By combining Chinese culture with the latest international educational framework, with the integrated efforts of both Chinese and foreign teachers, 
the students from different countries can learn Chinese language and Chinese culture, custom and practices. Especially they will develop their abilities to live independently. The serenely tranquil, charmingly exquisite learning and living environment is an ideal attraction for foreign students.
In Dec., 2004, our school was named by the Ministry of Civil Affairs as the only “Top Excellent Non-governmental Organization in Fundamental Education” in Nanjing city.
Requirements and Offers for Foreign Teachers

Education: bachelor degree or above
Contract time: at least one year
Teaching Courses: oral English, math, health, science, art (two teachers for all the courses)
Students age:7-8 years old
Total number: less than 20
Workload: 16 hours/ week
Monthly salary (RMB): 5,000—7,000 RMB
Travel allowance (RMB) : 2,200 per year on completion of the contract 
Medical Care: Free medical care at the school hospital
Free boarding: a furnished apartment including a bedroom, a living room, a washroom，an air-conditioning, color TV, refrigerator, hot water shower, telephone and internet access.
