1. A Brief Introduction to Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology
Established in April 2002, Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology is a full-time public higher education institution that was approved by People’s Government of Guang Dong Province and registered in National Ministry of Education. The education orientation of SZIIT is: Rooted in Shenzhen, to serve the whole society, mainly geared to the forefront of IT Industry 
production and management, to cultivate and train higher-skill talents with good quality of profession.
The Institute currently is “National Demonstrative Software Vocational Technical College”, Urgently Needed Personnel Training Base for the Field of National Numerical Control Technology Application, and Practical Training Base Financed by the Treasury for the Vocational Education of Computer Applications and Software Technology. On October 2007, SZIIT passed the schooling evaluation of higher technical and vocational colleges organized by Ministry of Education with excellent results.
The Institute currently accommodates 5623 full-time students. The faculties include 6 departments and 3 sections: Software Engineering, Electronic Communication Technology, Computer Applications, Information Control and Fabrication, Economics, Applied English Department；General Courses, Ideological and Political Theories Teaching, Further Education section. The number of the majors is 34 in total with electronics and information as the leading majors. The Institute contains 4 Provincial-level Demonstrative Development Courses, 5 National-level Excellent Courses，7 Provincial-level Excellent Courses. In 2006, the joint course EDA of SZIIT and Central Lancashire University in UK was approved by the Ministry of Education of P.R.C.
SZIIT adopts “Recruiting excellent teachers to boost up” as the strategy of building up the staff, which forms a reasonable structure with both part-time and full-time teachers of high quality. Now the total staff is 548, among which 50% of full-time teachers hold senior academic titles, 75% of the staff hold PhDs or Master degrees and 75% are “Dual-type” teachers.
The Institute 
probes and implements the teaching mode of combining working and learning; It cooperates with 75 enterprises such as Lenovo groups and Foxconn Technology Groups, builds off-campus practical training (internship) bases, and imports excellent courses and teaching materials from the famous companies such as Oracle and Red Flag Linux; It continuously innovates in respect of teaching methods and quality evaluation reform, and makes great achievements in the students skills competitions. So far, SZIIT has had 4 years of graduates, who are popular with the employers. The employment obtaining rate of the graduates has been over 98% for 4 straight years.
The scientific researches of the Institute are outstanding. Recently the Institute undertakes 8 programs funded by National Natural Science Foundation, 15 programs funded by Provincial Natural Science Foundation, 39 programs and research subjects listed in the Municipal Scientific and Technology Plans. Among the researches in the Institute, 1 program wins the second prize of Guang Dong Province Science and Technology Awards; 1 program wins the award of Innovation Achievements of Shenzhen Scientific and Technological Advancement; 26 programs are exhibited and traded in the Shenzhen International Hi-Tech Fair.
In compliance with the campus spirit “Enlightenment, Exploration, Progress; Innovation, Achievement, Prospects”, SZIIT forms an atmosphere that the staff are united, energetic and of integrity. In 2005 and 2007, it was awarded “Shenzhen Civilized Work Unit” by the Municipality of Shenzhen Government. (Updated on March 30, 2009）
2. We are looking for foreign teachers who bear such qualifications as below:
★Able to honor laws and decrees of the People’s Republic of China; cooperate with the teaching arrangements of SZIIT.
★Be able to teach Spoken English
★Education Background--TESOL/TEFL, College, Bachelor, Master
★Nationality—Canada, UK, Australian, New Zealand, USA
★Language--English
★Age limit—30-50
★Full time
★Two years’ minimum teaching experience
3. What we can offer:
★The contract term is for one year.
★Monthly salary: 8000 RMB before tax. The tax is 355 RMB
★16 teaching hours a week and each hour consists of 40 minutes. Extra hours will be paid.
★The salary for winter vacation is 4000 RMB.
★Upon the successful fulfillment of the contract, SZIIT offers 7000 RMB as an airfare subsidy and another 3000 RMB as a travel allowance.
★Free accommodation on campus with daily facilities such as desk, chair, air-conditioner, 
TV, refrigerator, washing machine, water heater, microwave oven and bedding and so on. Water, electricity and long-distant phone calls will be covered by yourself and will charged monthly
★Medical insurance
★Part time job is not allowed
★SZIIT will help to organize a Bank Account
