1. A Brief Introduction to Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology
Located by Bijia Mountain, Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology (SZIIT) was established in 2002 with the approval of Guangdong Provincial Government, and registered in Ministry of Education. SZIIT is the third institute of higher learning run by Shenzhen Municipal Government. The institute has 6 departments and 2 divisions covering 26 majors. Among the 430 teaching staff, 166 have obtained the academic credentials above the Master’s degree or the professional titles above that of associate professor. There are now more than 4000 fulltime students of three or two academic years, and 2610 part-time students in the adult education section which offers online and correspondence education.
On Nov. 3, 2005, the 《The Six-Year (2005-2010) Construction and Development Plan of SZIIT’s Pilot Scheme of National Level Demonstrative Software Institute》has got the approval by the municipal government’s 13th Standing Committee Conference in the 4th session. The new campus, 1500 hectares with an investment of 1.62 billion RMB, will be located at the Center-City of the Olympic Gymnasium, Longgang district.
SZIIT is devoted to training the “software silver collars” with practical skills and talents in urgent need in IT field for the hi-tech industries in Shenzhen. With the “student-centered” idea, SZIIT is determined to develop a higher vocational education that is satisfactory to Shenzhen people. SZIIT is advancing along the edge-cutting position of modern information technology. 2. We are looking for foreign teachers who bear such qualifications as below:
★Able to honor laws and decrees of the People’s Republic of China; cooperate with the teaching arrangements of SZIIT.
★Be able to teach Spoken English
★Education Background--TESOL/TEFL, College, Bachelor, Master
★Nationality—Canada, UK, Australian, New Zealand, USA
★Language--English
★Age limit—30-50
★Full time
★Two years’ minimum teaching experience

3. What we can offer:
★The contract term is for one year.
★Monthly salary: 8000 RMB before tax. The tax is 355 RMB
★16 teaching hours a week and each hour consists of 50 minutes. Extra hours will be paid.
★The salary for winter vacation is 4000 RMB.
★Upon the successful fulfillment of the contract, SZIIT offers 7000 RMB as an airfare subsidy and another 3000 RMB as a travel allowance.
★Free accommodation on campus with daily facilities such as desk, chair, air-conditioner, TV, refrigerator, washing machine, water heater, microwave oven and bedding and so on. Water, electricity and long-distant phone calls will be covered by yourself and will charged monthly
★Medical insurance
★Part time job is not allowed
★SZIIT will help to organize a Bank Account
