Experienced Foreign Teachers Wanted
Here, in Yunnan College of Business Management, we are seeking some foreign teachers for our language teaching. Foreign teachers from Britain, America, Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea and Thailand are wanted. The requirement for a foreign teacher is that he or she must get a bachelor’s degree and two-year teaching experience at least. The college is located in Kunming of Yunnan Province. Kunming, a so-called “Spring City”, welcome your participation. The following is a brief introduction of our college:

Yunnan College of Business Management is a full-time comprehensive college, approved by the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, and on record with the Ministry of Education. It awards diplomas with national approval. It is located in a high-tech development zone of Kunming, which is surrounded by secondary technical academies and high-tech industries. This location provides students with opportunities for continuation of studies and research, as well as cultivating their knowledge, skills and technical abilities.

The campus occupies an area of more than 300mu with 3 multifunction teaching buildings, a library, computer center, English learning center, audiovisual center, multimedia teaching lab, language lab, an accounting simulation lab, divers’ training center, a student activity center and 4 dinning rooms. There are 1,200 computers for students use. The library contains over 320,000 books including 150,000 multimedia e-books.

There are more than 590 teachers and staff, 8,800 full-time students. The College consists of an Economic Department, Management Department, Computer Technology Department, Foreign Languages Department, secondary technical academy branch, adult education branch and basic courses branch. A primary goal of the college is for its graduates to obtain employment. Accordingly, majors are offered in accounting, economic management, business management, tourism management, international business and trade, architectural engineering management, secretarial studies, law, applied computer sciences and network management, e-business, advertising design, business English, tourism English, marketing and international business management.

The college possesses abundant teaching resources. It employs many specialist, scholars and celebrities, and excellent teachers from across the nation as well as some famous professors from universities in Yunnan. There are 11 foreign teachers from America, England, Australia, Korea, France, Canada, Philipines, Korea and Japan, offering students an excellent environment for learning foreign languages.

The college focuses on improving its majors courses to make them more responsive to the outside the campus. When our students receive their certificates, it confirms their readiness for work in the market; employers coming to the college look for these well-trained students.

In addition to academics, the students receive guidance from their teachers. Students are held to a high moral standard and encouraged to be innovative and self- reliant. They receive political and ideological direction, engage in campus forums, have access to psychological counseling, and receive safety education. After class, students can express their interests in many student organizations such as the Youth Law Club, Literature Club, Arts Club; football and volleyball teams; painting and calligraphy clubs and a nationalities culture group.

The college promotes communication and cooperation with foreign countries. Leaders of the college have investigated higher education in Australia, America and Thailand. In March 2006, the college began a cooperative program with South Nanlarkshire College of Britain, which offers students the opportunity to study abroad.
The college has a special graduate employment guidance center. The employment success rate is rather high –there are over 10,000 graduates who have obtained employment and many who have opened their own business.

The environment of our college is clean and beautiful, with green trees and colorful flowers all year round. The salary for teachers: bachelor—4000yuan/month, master--4400yuan/month and doctor—4800yuan/month. 200 yuan for water and electricity. Air-ticket assistance: 8000yuan/year for teachers from Western countries and 4000yuan/year for teachers from Asian countries. We will provide a 65 square meter apartment with fridge, washing machine, microwave oven, TV, computer and drinking water.
