Experienced Foreign Teachers Needed

Here, in Kunming in Yunnan College of Business Management, we are seeking some foreign teachers for our language teaching. The summer term will start 25th, of August and the winter term will start 25th February each year.

City, Kunming, the capital of Yunnan Province, is in southeast Yunnan and is the political, cultural and economic center of the province as well as a hub of communications.

College Brief Introduction:

Yunnan College of Business Management is a full-time comprehensive college, approved by the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, and on record with the Ministry of Education.  It awards diplomas with national approval.

The campus will occupy an area of about 1500 square Chinese acres according to the plan. It now occupies 512 square acres, with the buildings amounting to 240,000 square meters including both Haitun road campus, West campus’s areas of 60,000 square meters, and Chenggong campus’s 60,000 square meters (the college has recently purchased Kunming Nanyang School). There are sufficient teaching and living facilities.  Fixed assets are about 350,000,000 Yuan. There are four comprehensive buildings, a digital library, a comprehensive gymnasium, computer center, (1,500 computers), an English learning center, an audiovisual center, a digital reading-room, some training centers (11 on the campus, 32 off of campus) a multimedia teaching lab, an accounting simulation lab, a language lab, a student activity center, a drivers’ training center and 4 dining rooms (1 for Hui/Muslim people).

The college complies with the development rules of academic education and is guided by scientific development.  It also emphasizes honesty and service for students. The college grows at the same pace with society.

The college possesses abundant teaching resources. It employs many specialists, scholars and celebrities, and excellent teachers from across the nation as well as some famous professors from universities in Yunnan. There are 695 staff, and 12,000 full-time students. There are 27 majors including: Economics, Management, Computer Science, and Foreign Languages etc.  The college has had 15 foreign teachers from America, Britain, Austria, Canada, France, Korea, Japan, and Thailand, offering students an excellent environment for learning foreign languages.

The college is focuses on teaching. It builds courses and structures training which are good for the development of students’ personality.  And it designs curricula according to the requirements.  It also explores new teaching methods which are centered on the ability of students and their subjects. Practical training is emphasized. The college and its founding leaders (Yunnan Educational Group of Business Management) gathered the educational resources, and compiled a strong educational environment.

The college focuses on the students. The supervisors are in charge of the classes and teachers serve the students. There are different kinds of student organizations including, the young volunteer association, the computer association, the literature group etc. All of these enrich the life of the students.

The college promotes communication and cooperation with foreign countries. The college began many cooperative programs with South Lanark Shire College of Britain, Korea Konyang University, Thailand East Asia University，Thailand Rajamangala University of Technology Suvarnabhumi, Auckland Business College of New Zealand, Abutus College of Canada and others. The college extends higher vocational education with international eyeshot and cultivates the adaptive talents who are well-known international routine and well up in English. The College Career Center collects employment information by different channel and starts relationships with many companies inside and outside Yunnan. The recruiting conference is come off every year for the graduates. Some popular experts are invited to give the graduates speeches helping them find jobs. At present, 15,000 graduates have found the jobs successully. Some graduates have opened their own companies. The college was awarded by Yunnan Provincial Education Department as “2007 and 2008 Higher Employment Rate of Graduates ”.

Requirements:

◆Have Bachelor’s Degree at least
◆Two-year teaching experience or hold TESOL/TEFL/CELTA certificate
Salary (RMB) and Allowance:
◆Bachelor—4200yuan/month
◆Master—4600yuan/month
◆Doctor—5000yuan/month
◆300yuan/month assistance for water and electricity.
◆Air ticket allowance: 9000yuan/year; 4500yuan/half a year
◆Paid vacation: 70% of the normal month in first year. Second year contract: 100% paid
vacation of the normal month
◆Yearly Award: according to the foreign teachers’ working effect, you will get their corresponding yearly award every end of year.
◆5 drinking water tickets every month for free.

Accommodation:

Provide a furnished apartment with 65㎡area on campus. Provide fridge, washing machine, microwave oven, TV, computer, shower with hot water, electrical heater and drinking water.

Working hours:

One year contract includes two semesters, each semester includes five months. 18 periods of classes per week; 45 minutes per period.
